Bankia approached Fjord to revamp its mobile app for the year 2020. The previous app experience had become obsolete and the interface failed to address crucial accessibility concerns.

Details
To cover the design of the new Bankia App, the detailed design phase was divided into 7 sprints.
I assumed the role of leading the visual, managing a small team of other visual designers that participated in the sprints, focused on tasks such as motion prototype creation, or assistance in the production of the screens.
The new Bankia App matches the universal trade-off between forms and function, with an elevated aesthetic in alignment with Bankia's brand guidelines, and ensuring a seamless and user-friendly digital banking experience.

One of the primary UI challenges we encountered was the absence of a green color that met the AA compliance standards of the WCAG 2.1 guidelines. To tackle this issue, we developed a new color palette that not only aligns with Bankia's visual identity but also addresses various accessibility concerns. This ensured consistency in design while prioritizing accessibility standards.
