The client wanted to retain the existing wordmark, so a flexible identity system was created using an abstraction of the letter "S" as the foundation.
The symbol constantly changes and adapts, symbolizing how SK embraces diverse perspectives while remaining true to its core values. This versatility allows the symbol to host content in several ways, expanding its creative possibilities.
The color palette draws inspiration from the surrounding nature, employing muted and earthy tones to harmonize with the symbol's dynamic essence.
The typeface Canela adds emotion and elegance, reminiscent of a tree trunk's delicately carved extremities, subtly nodding to the building's primary material. Set in capitals on headlines, it conveys SK's messages with grace and confidence, while GT America, rooted in modernist heritage, is employed for supporting texts, providing reliability and neutrality.
